A Variety of Choices

Swim spas provide a fun and relaxing way to exercise with low-impact. They can be used for swimming, aerobics, water jogging, and other beneficial exercises. Swim spas, also commonly referred to as "swimming machines," are recently becoming popular items, not only in exercise facilities, but also in private homes. Because they are still coming into vogue, it is often difficult to find a local manufacturer. However, many swim spa manufacturers sell their products online, and will deliver anywhere in the US. Below is a list of many of the top swim spa brands and the models they offer.

Endless Pool Swim Spas

Standard System

This swim spa comes with the basics you need to get started, and you can also choose from any of the available accessories and extras. The dimensions are 7'10" x 15'0" x 4'2" which makes for a 7' x 13'6" x 42" swim area. The spa is made of acrylic, and the shell comes in one of two colors (Sand or Caribbean). It has 10 jets, two contoured seats, and a 5 horsepower swim current generator. The spa comes with two water resistant wireless remotes, there is an underwater light so you can swim at night, and there are built-in stairs. The Standard System also comes with a floating solar cover and wall insulation. There is a wood frame with wood skirting and a water quality system. If you want more than the standard model, there are 13 different available accessories and extras, which allow you to customize your swim spa to your own needs. Prices range from $18,900 - $28,900.

SunBelt Swim Spas

The Olympia

This swim spa is a very large model at 15' 7" x 8' 1" x 53," and its extended swim area would be most useful for an experienced and dedicated swimmer. The spa features dual BaduStream jets, which create currents ranging from a gentle flow that can be used for water jogging or resistance exercises, to a 400 gallon-per-minute rush that allows a swimmer to go all out. There are 15 massage jets, 16 swim lane jets, and two lights, which allow for night swimming. Also, an optional feature is a gas heater to warm up the water, allowing the spa to be used year-round.

The Luxury

This swim spa was built with relaxation in mind, though it can also be used for more strenuous exercises. Like the Olympia, it is a larger model at 14' 7" x 8' 1" x 53". One end of the Luxury is the "aqua therapy" side, and the other is the "business" side. It seats 6 on the "business" end and, on the "aqua therapy" side, there is a pair of back-and-hip massage Captain's Chairs along with 4 contoured massage seats. The spa has 23 massage jets, 4 swim current jets, 2 lights for night swimming, and aromatherapy capabilities. Also optional is the BaduStream system that the Olympia comes with.

The QX4

The QX4 is like three spas in one. There is a clear, removable plastic wall that separates the spa into two ends. One end is for swimming, and the other is for relaxing. With the plastic wall removed, the whole spa is available for the entire family to enjoy. The swimming end features a 4-jet waterway workout machine, a light for night swimming, and its own filtration system. The seating end has 5 seats, a 48 Hydro-Jet, and includes the exclusive Sunbelt Wave Machine. Each zone is complete with its own temperature and water jet settings.

H2X Master Spas

H2X Momentum

This spa has two ends, one for swimming and one for relaxing. The size is 231" x 94" x 51" and the spa has a total of 45 jets. The swim area is separated from the spa area with a fixed divider. Each area has its own temperature controls. There are also several optional features, including a stereo system and lighted jets.

H2X Swim Spa

The original H2X swim spa is 16' 9" long, and can be used for serious swimmers or for the whole family. It has one seat, as well as a large swim area. There are 41 jets, 2 waterfalls, and the shell comes in three colors. The original H2X also has optional features available.

H2X CrossTrainer

The H2X CrossTrainer is smaller than the original H2X and the H2X Momentum at 14' 6". Despite the fact that it is smaller, the CrossTrainer has a very large swim area. It has two seats, 3 waterfalls, and a total of 51 jets. The CrossTrainer also has optional features available.

H2X CrossTrainer 2

The new H2X CrossTrainer2 is even smaller than the CrossTrainer: Its size is just 144" x 92" x 51". It is easier on the wallet than the other models, and fits in a variety of spaces. This spa has 55 jets, 3 waterfalls, and seats 2. There are several optional features available.

400-OS Compact & Leisure Pool

This swim spa is an in-ground model. Its dimensions are 7'7" x 17'8" x 4'10". The pool has a totally flat bottom and is 42-inches deep. There is an 18-inch deep current flow, which is generated by a paddlewheel-generated counter-current. There is also an arrow on the floor of the pool to keep the swimmer oriented. This swim spa has underwater lights and 12 jets.

480-S Multi-Purpose Swim Spa Pool

This swim spa is also an in-ground model. Its dimensions are 7'7" x 17'6" x 5'10". The difference between the 400-S and the 480-S model is that the 480-S is deeper (48-inches) and has a 28-inch deep current flow. This spa also uses a paddlewheel-generated counter-current. The 480-S Multi-Purpose Pool has a totally flat bottom, which has an arrow on the floor. This spa comes in Intermediate, Advanced, and Luxury Packages.

500-OS Standard Pool

The 500-OS is 50-inches deep and has dimensions of 7'7" x 17'8" x 4'10". This swim spa uses a side channel water return system instead of the paddle-wheel generated counter-current. There are two built-in seats on each side of the spa. There is an arrow on the bottom. Many extra features are available for this model, including an underwater treadmill. This spa comes in Intermediate, Advanced, and Luxury Packages.

600-S Specialty Training Pool

This is the deepest swim spa that Swimex makes. It also has the most powerful current. The dimensions are 7'8" x 17'7" x 5'10" and the pool itself is 60-inches deep. It also features an exercise step, which is 10-inches high. The 600-S also uses the side channel water return. This spa comes in Intermediate, Advanced, and Luxury Packages.

800-S Open Space Pool

The 800-S model is a home exercise pool. It is 7'8" x 17'7" x 5'10" and has a depth of 66-inches. The counter-current flow goes to a depth of 30-inches, making it good for exercises like water running. There are many extra options for this model, and it also comes in Intermediate, Advanced, and Luxury Packages.

1000-S Largest Pool

This is the largest Swimex Model. The dimensions are 11'5" x 20' x 7' and it has multiple depths, at 38 and 50-inches. This spa is special in that only one side of the pool has a moving counter-current. In the other half of the pool, the water remains still. All in all, this spa can support eight distinct workout stations. This spa comes in Intermediate, Advanced, and Luxury Packages.

The Spa Trainer

The Spa Trainer is a swimming machine, a therapeutic spa, and a hot-tub. It seats up to 12 people, and has two therapy seats. It has 6 jets that create a counter-current, and there are computer controls on one end of the spa. Its dimensions are 174" x 88" x 52". There are 70 jets in all. There are three different color options.

Aquatic Fitness System Models

AquaFit 16

The AquaFit 16 is the smallest model that Aquatic Fitness makes, at 192"L x 90.25"W x 52"H. This model has 6 swim jets, and 20 jets in all. It has two seats, and can be equipped for aquatic exercises. This model also comes with a cool-down feature, for after workouts.

AquaPro 19

This swim spa is the largest Aquatic Fitness model, as it stands 10" taller than all the other models. Its dimensions are 228"L x 90.25"W x 62"H. This model is similar to the AquaFit16, though it boasts the longest and deepest swimming and exercising area and has 22 jets. It also has two seats, one of which has the cool-down feature.

AquaFit 19DT

The AquatFit 19DT (Dual Temp) is made so that one section of the swim spa can be used for exercise, while the other can be used to relax. The dimensions are 228"L x 90"W x 52"H. The spa seats 6. There are 23 jets. As its name suggests, this swim spa can keep the water at one temperature on one side of the spa, and another temperature on the other. Each section has its own controls.

Catalina Spas

Swim Spa Water Aerobics

This swim spa is 16-feet long and is 90 x 192 x 52" deep. It has three jets and seats five. There are many available options for this particular spa, including a divider, an aqua treadmill, speakers, and a 24 LED light set. The spa is available in two colors.

14 Ft. Swim Machine

This spa is smaller at 14-feet long and is 91" x 168" x 52" deep. It has three swim jets and seats three. The 14-foot Swim Machine comes with many features including underwater lighting, full-body and foot massagers, a hot air blower, and a deluxe cover. The spa is available in two colors.

Dual Temp Swim Spa

This spa is 213" L x 91" W x 53" T and seats five. There are two separate sections that can be controlled separately. One is for swimming, and the other is made for relaxation. There are two different versions available, one of which is 70-amp, the other of which is 100-amp. There are many available options, including lights and a stereo system.

Dual Temp Swim Spa Elite

This spa is similar to the Dual Temp Swim Spa at 213" L x 91" W x 53" T with five seats. However, many more features come standard. These include a lounger, turbo heaters for both the swim area and the spa area, two filters, two hot air blowers, and a waterproof spa base.

Out of the Ordinary
